Fitment Q: RPF1 17x8.5 +30, Z1* 255/40-17

Car is lowered on Swift Sports (stock struts). Will I have any issues running Enkei RPF1 17x8.5 +30 and Dunlop Z1 Star Specs in 255/40-17?

Tirerack says that wheel with stock sized 235/45-17 Star Specs will work.

According to this post: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/4149733-post23.html I suspect this combo will work.

Thx!

Depends on your alignment. How much negative camber will you be running in the rear? My car is not that low but I have the same rim & tire size setup. I am only running -1* camber in the rear & it slightly rubs on bumps/etc. Nothing in the front rubs.

Not sure of the exact alignment settings. Just got it aligned and I think he set it up for stock settings.

Those wheels in that width and offset will fit with no spacers or fender rolling. Those tires should also fit as most 255/40/17 tires will fit granted some tires are wider than others and without super low offset wheels.

I wish you knew your alignment specs...In the future, I take my car to Lester over at Apex Automotive in Marlborough and he does a great job. Hit up Turco and he'll tell you

Lester did my alignment I think he forgot to write the specs down. I usually just tell him to set it up for street driving.

And yeah my concern was that I've heard the Z1*s tend to run wide

Heard wrong. They run to correct mid-sidewall to mid-sidewall measurement of 255
