I have the XXR 527 18x9.75 which I powder coated black metallic (prismatic powders). Looks frickin SICK!!! Super aggressive look which I love! However, the tires I got rub in the front wheel well only when I turn hard. I have 245/45ZR/18 Hankooks. I know I need to get different tires, but don't know if I need to go 235 or 40. Anyone know?

PS-I rolled the rear fenders, but ended up realizing that I probably didn't need to with my GTWorx springs (because it's a higher ride height than most other springs out there). It's a good thing I rolled them though because I'm considering getting coilovers in the future. Do it as a precaution.

Xxr 527
I have XXR 527's in 18x9.75, slightly rub in front on sharp turns and quite a bit of rubbing in the back with no rolling of the fenders. I can post pictures later when I get home from work.

Bringing back this old thread. I'm about to order 18x8.5 +25 xxr 521 wheels for my evo 8. What would be the ideal tire size for this wheel size? I'm on bilstein coilovers with stock evo 8 wheels. With this will size it was mentioned that I would not need to roll or pull my fenders as well as no spacers needed. It will also not rub.

Running a 255 tire, expect a roll & pull of the rear fender. +25 is very aggressive, however the 8.5" helps vs running a 9.5" wheel
Fronts will be OK but expect liner rub at lock positions, dependent also on ride height

Thanks.....I was thinking 245/40 would be okay or 235/45. I have about 1.5 inch gap all around with my stock 8 wheels with 235/45. They're tucked in so even slammed, I dont rub at all.
