Hello, im still worried with my evo9, the car doesnt brake, i have changed up everything including rotors, pads, brake lines, MC, non of them make the car stop better.
now im aiming to the ABS module, because the car does not have a proportioning valve, i was told that the ABS module control brake bias.
is that correct? under hard braking it feels that the front end doesnt receive as much pressure that the rears, resulting in rear wheel locking.
BTW, is it a good idea disableing ABS and run a aftermarket proportioning valve?
i ran that setup in a 2002 sti, brakes are great, the DCCD is not adjustable.
any opinions?

The ABS module is also an electornic proportioning valve. It will out perform a manual setup.

If the rears are locking up and the ABS isn't kicking on, it's because the ABS isn't working properly.

thanks, clear my doubt about abs proportioning.
is there any posibilites of a sticked valve inside the module?

It has diagnostics built into the module. I imagine it would catch any issue like that and throw the brake light to let you know there is an issue.

Should be able to diagnose if you take it to dealer or someone who has the MUT3 tool.. I read somewhere there re specific codes corresponding to various issues.

Just a long shot but check to see if the ABS fuses are there and in good shape, nothing blown.

Lastly, by any chance are you running a different pad set up front rear with the better bite pads on the rear? if you are, use a pad with less bite on the rear..

The abs is pretty smart so i would imagine you would see a code...
