18x7.5 on a evo 7?

i currently own a evo 7 and was wondering how would 18x7.5 wheels look, i was told dont go below 18x8 since my stock is 17x8, any feedback on this?

the wheels i choose are
18x7.5
Bolt Pattern [?]: 5x114.3mm (5x4.5")
Backspace : 5.875"
Offset [?]: +40mm
Finish [?]: BLACK

If Im not mistaken the EVO7 is very similar to the 8 & 9

Sure the size if OK but on the weak side. Not liking the +40 offset. As you may know the stock offset is +38. Also, curious if this wheel will clear the front calipers? the +40 makes this even tougher

Some of us here in the US are pushing the envelope on offset & wheel size. If youre in a pinch & need to mount these Im sure youll be OK as long as the tire size is not over what a 7.5" wheel can handle

18x8.5 is modest & works OK for sure. Not sure what that offset spec means. Need a numeric no.

It all depends on the offset & tire spec. If you give me more specifics (tire size & wheel size including offset) I can run your no.s on the calculator & give you an opinion

Ok, now I see where you got that HPO/MED spec. I think it means High positive offset / Medium offset

If youre that interested you need to get the supplier to give you the exact offset spec otherwise you are taking a chance

Those wheels look very similar to Rota wheels. I would rather have you look at their line of wheels at that price point

Start w/this supplier. If you have a specific question about EVO fitment ask them

Check your prices. I got my ROTA's cheaper from another supplier
