rpf1 and federal tire fitment

rpf1 and federal tire fitment

i have rpf1 18 x 9.5 +15...im thinking about buying federal ss595 255/35/18 tires because theyre affordable and have heard good things about them but ive read they run alot wider...anyone have a pic of what 255/35 federal looks on a rpf1 9.5 or a 9.5 wheel period?

you're gonna need some extensive fender work for those to fit

So far, really liking my Fed 595 EVO 265/40/17's (as wide as some 275's)

As noted, the +15 offset w/the 255 which is really a 265 will be next to impossible to fit correctly on the stock body rear

Heres a pic of the 265 on a 9.5"

wow, so what size in the federal 595 would you recommend...which would be the same size as a normal 255/35? 245/35 im guessing? i understand these wont be easy to fit but my fenders are already rolled by the previous owner...i dont mind giving it a little camber if needed...just want it to look good...what other tire is there thats affordable and ok quality if the federals wont work?

Most of us in this section or more Function or Form. Its not the tire size thats making the proposal tough, its the +15.

Ive never seen a proper setup using a +15 on a stock body EVO. Rolling is not going to get you there. This will need a good fender pull, bumper bolt relocate & a 245/35 tire (+15 is a show offset only)

Guys who say they are making it work are putting up w/way out of spec rear camber, rub & an ill handling rear end

We'd rather see you run a more modest offset w/zero rub so you can drive aggressively w/out rub issues

Hey I completely agree and you couldn't have said it better but got them for a good price and just wanted to try something different...id like to make it work and later on I may sell them and hopefully get some volks...I had them at my fingertips but may as well be a mile away...

Why not just sell them now and get a wheel that's? You're not trying "something different", it's a setup you can consistently see at car shows with guys that can barely get their car in the parking lot without rubbing and scraping. Too much offset, with too narrow of a tire on too wide of a wheel.


If you got them for such a good deal, flip them for a some profit, and buy a wheel that fits. If you want a 9.5" wheel, that really means a +25 offset at minimum. 35 to 38 offset is ideal to fit a 265/35r18.

I am still trying to flip some 10.5 + 30. What a tough set up to sell. Lol

Market them for EVO X's, and other platforms they might fit. That's def hard to sell for an 8/9..
