So I really like the look of white wheels on rally red evos, such as mine. I plastidipped my motegi wheels last summer and they looked really nice, but they began to get hard to clean, mainly cause I wanted to avoid scrubbing hard. This year Im thinking about either getting bronze or white wheels, and id think having genuine white wheels would be easier to keep clean right. So if anyone has or has had white wheels, are they hard to keep clean?

plastidip isn't a glossy finish, it's always going to be harder to clean regardless of color

Consider pwdr coating that leaves a very hard smooth surface. Dipping leaves a bit of a textured surface that will make it more diff to clean IMO

After washing your pwdr coated wheels, you can coat them w/the Armorall Wheel Protectant that helps shed off brake dust for a few weeks

Gloss finish+ wax. But don't wax where the weights go.

Wax or wheel sealant will make the brake dust wash away easily. Make sure the brake dust doesn't bake onto the wheel. That usually makes it harder to clean.

Use a quality wheel cleaner too. Sonax Full Effect is great

No seriously, white wheels are a right PITA.
Especially Rota deep dish grids @ 9.5 offset.


I like to use wax now and then, poorboys world wheel sealant is the best I have used.

x2 on Sonax Full Effect. Couple this will some wheel brushes to get between the spokes and you are set.

I plastidipped my wheels once and I'll never do it again lol. The material due to lack of gloss kind of just absorbs anything that falls into its pores.

Buy wheels the color of brake dust.

Actually, seeing a manly machine in the mall parking lot with nasty brake dust does more for me than any blazing wax job.
