+15, especially in a 10.5 width, is impossible to fit (Properly) on a stock body EvO

The most aggressive i've seen on a stock body Evo is 18x10.5 +30 with 265/35/18's. Camber was maxed out though and the rear had a modified trailing arm.

+15 wont work but +38 will but takes a lot of work. I have 18x10.5 +38 PF01 with 295 hoosiers and a front spacer. Was 20mm but looking to reduce that to 15mm.

It takes new rear trailing arms or accepting rub, about 3/4" of fender pulling, a few cuts in the fender lips for clearance, moving or trimming up to bolts, etc.

The 285s certainly fit much better being 1/2" shorter and negligibly narrower.
