Three points:
1. Today is the last day to order your Orbital Prestige 2-DIN Kit directly from us @ $250. There will be an additional 5% discount on top of that because we're not going to be able to meet the deadline of May 1st. As such, all of you on the initial GB will have a refund check for $12.50 included with your kit. We're only producing 100 kits for the first run, with another long-wait for the next batch.
2. After the release of our kit (date is still a question..), we will be distributing these kits directly to retail shops, dealerships, and other vendors (Vendors, PM me if you're interested). We're streamlining and pulling out of direct-to-consumer-sales. Frankly, this project was a tremendous headache and investment. If i'm going to follow it's release with another quality group of projects I am going to need to focus on one thing.
3. After today, the very least you're going to pay for the basic Orbital Prestige Kit is $295... as it's retail price will be $325. This is still pretty damn cheap given the engineering, quality, and finish of this kit. You'll never see it again for $250, so if you want it.. please support the cause and pay today.

Most of you are aware of, or have supported, my efforts over the better part of the past year in the development of a true, high-quality 2-DIN dash conversion kit for the EVO community. For everyone that has been kind, supportive, patient, and inspirational.. I am very grateful, and would like to thank you dearly.
Our kit is undergoing the tooling phase for mass production and sale as we speak. As such, I am ready to open up for deposits/payments to help offset the cost of production. I am going to be present at the SEMA IAS 2006 in April 2006, in Philadephia with the Tri-State EVO club (www.tristateevo.com) and a working production prototype of our kit installed in my EVO. Your kits should be ready for shipment within a few weeks thereafter.

Orbital can correct me, but I think the idea is that the faster we all send in our $, the faster the kit will be completed. The deposits/payments are to pay for/expedite the actual construction of the piece. I'll be sending my $ ASAP!

The finish of the 2 DIN bezel and the new HVAC housing included with the kit is the standard vinyl grain, right?
And if we want to have the OEM metallic finish on the HVAC housing, the cost is TBA. What if we want the OEM metallic finish on the 2 DIN bezel? Do we have to go with the OEM Mitsu solution which $115, as you quoted?

I apologize for the broken link as I had the product up as available, but not for sale. The link is functional and you can process payment when ready.
As soon as I have the pieces from my manufacturer, I will ship within a day. The problem is getting the final confirmation from them as to the completion estimate.
I know you guys are getting anxious, but please hang on. I am financially worried about the position this kit has placed me in, but all I can do is wait to recover the heavy investment.
