Running the ETS HFC. Anyone else experience this?
I thought this was a symptom of test pipes, but not HFCs.
How long have you been driving the car with the HFC/exhaust components installed? They can stink for a little while after being freshly installed.

The weight difference is substantial.
Any other recommendations for easy weight savings that don't compromise the car to much? I assume smaller battery is also a gimmie..

-Remove the jack and spare tire (I recommend adding roadside assistance to your insurance if you do this).
-If you don't use your rear seats, take them out.
-A set of rear carbon fiber doors will drop a lot of weight.

Basically, just ask yourself what you can live without, and remove it or replace it with a lighter item.

Lightweight parts you will "feel":

Lightweight wheels - less unsprung weight ftw
Lightweight driveshaft http://www.driveshaftshop.com/mitsub...ear-driveshaft

Interesting, I thought FFTEC wasn't taking on anymore EVO's?

I called them up two months ago about installing some upgrades on my 2013 and giving it a tune and they turned me away. They are specializing in GTR's and BMW's now..

I was initially told that as well. Last year. They are still around, they just publicized about evo x timing chain specials in Craigslist. I guess their communication about evo's must vary from one employee to another.

Ya they definitely don't advertise it. Shop was filled with GTRs and a few Porsches. I also felt like if I hadn't come to them with a very specific task, they would've turned me away.

Who is the Go-to for Evo tuning in the Bay Area now?

Nice! I put down similar numbers with similar mods on a Mustang. It is definitely a different experience than driving it stock

To be honest with you I have spoken with 5150/Baka down in Santa Ana. I will be making the trek planning for April when my children go on spring break in April. Saving up for timing chain maintenance, turbo upgrading and tuning. I need to adjust my appointment date with them.

For our MR I believe Baka is the way to go. Another alternative is to rent out a dyno and do a remote/e-tune real time session with him. Saves you a trip of driving 7 hours down there.

Or if you want local kind of, check out Boosted Tuning.

Fftech and Evos

Mike B and Aaron P will hook you up at Fftec... A few of their crew are definitely up to tuning Evos ... And yes Mustang Dyno for quantitative proof... I've had my MR back for a couple weeks after custom tune and mods.... Awesome job.. I'll post my build... When I can find some time
