Stock turbo GSR E85 381whp/359tq

I converted over to E85 after running my car on cobb stage 2 on pump for a long time. I don't have before numbers but the car made 381 whp and 359 lb-ft tq. on 27.5 pounds of boost. The car is up about 140 whp and 100 wtq over stock and feels really good. I want more power (~420 whp) but am hesitant to mess with the car since its running so well with the minor modifications that it has.

Bolt ons

ETS 3" V2

Fuel

I've been looking into a similar set up, my tuner said that the 65c won't be sufficient for 400+ whp on corn though.

A walbro 255 will be plenty to get you 400 on e85 with stock turbo

Orange, what would you suggest for 450whp capable fuel pump with e-85?

He is some what correct, its enough fuel to max the stock turbo at about 400 whp ... If your goals are 450 whp you need a bigger turbo and a bigger fuel pump.

for fuel pumps i would just get a 450 and be done with it. You will eventually want to make more power so just do the full upgrade now.

Well considering I'm making close to 420+ whp on a dynojet calculation and have the fastest stock turbo x I might have a slight clue on what I'm talking about. If 450 whp is your goal you can use a walbro 450 but know you have to modify the factory hanger and you're probably going to over run your FPR. If it were me I'd just go to a dual pump setup from Buschur and call it a day.

I hate when people say "max out the stock turbo". There's not a single person or car that has done that at this point for the X. I could still push mine furthur than it already is but at some point the stock engine would give out.

I was thinking about going e85 sometime soon but my tuner told me not not even bother. He reccomends to just get a bigger turbo (he likes to recommend the ets kit) he says the problem is you can only push the stocker so far until your just blowing hot air. He's tuned them making the best numbers he can but he recommends to just save up to get a bigger turbo instead of trying to push the stock turbo to the max. He has a lot of proof behind him to back it up, the best tuner in my state and he likes to prove his words with his track times.

I was considering a turbo upgrade such as map ef2 or mhi 18k to get to around 400 whp on 93 but decided to go the e85 route for now due to the simplicity and the cost. I am running stock turbo, stock downpipe, stock intercooler, stock head... only real power mods are intake and catback exhaust with test pipe and the car pulls like an animal.

With that said turbo upgrade is still on the table. I would like to make 400-420 whp while staying below 360 torque without a crazy aggressive tune on the stocker. Would a downpipe and intercooler get me there or is a turbo upgrade a safer option? Opinions?
