Im moving to a 9180 on mine because I blew up the 8374 and I know the main reason was over speening the turbo but I want to make sure I don't go to aggressive on the tune.

Also, the Motec doesn't have built in Knock control? That's why you would need the OKM?

i would love to hear how in the hell you blew up a 8374, lol! What were you revving to? And your boost?

Probably over spinning the turbo. The exhaust wheel desintegrated in to pieces, luckily it still allowed me to get home lol.

How does one overspin the turbo? Too much boost pressure? What were you running?

To much air flow, trying to make the turbo hold more boost then it likes to.
The turbo is a 700whp turbo and I pushed it to 800whp.

Turbochargers make boost by spinning, too much rpm and then they come apart. High EGT caused by high backpressure can weaken the components and make them even more fragile at high rpm.

You'll see. Still working on it but hopefully it starts tomorrow and then tuning starts. Maybe a month for final results.

But if you want 800 on a EFR then go straight to the 9180. The 8374 really is a 700awhp turbo. You can push it pass that like I did, but BW will not warrantee the turbo if you over spin it. They did not warrantee mine....

Just FPR on the fuel rail, I am not sure why you'd have one on the surge tank.
Thanks. Is there anyway you could email me details on your setup using the radium setup in the link above? Details on regulators, pumps, wiring, fuel pressure, etc. With the fuel tank setup on the X the shop is questioning this being a "safe" setup. Anything you could do would be much appreciated!

I noticed the car had 3" intercooler pipes. Do you sell those or are they custom built and must have the car at the shop to make them. At what point are 3" intercooler pipes helping over standard up grades. And finally what size exhaust is on this evo. Thanks
