Could you get the boost on the bottom of the page in the pic? Also is that pushing the safe limit on a stock motor through the sst? Thanks

This is what I think would be the safe upper limit on a stock block. The SST seems to soak up about 10-13% more power over a GSR. That puts this right around 500WHP if it was a GSR. It doesn't produce crazy amounts of torque so I think it will live for a long time. At least that is my hope.

It pulls really good and actually still launches good. Hoping to get it out to the track next weekend.

Feels really good. The biggest problem I had with the stock turbo is it just runs out of steam in the upper gears. This pulls all the way to 8K and would probably keep pulling if I let it.

The SST shifts so fast and never drops off boost. This makes for a really good street car build.

It might get some cams, springs and retainers at some point but for now I am really happy with the car.

That's good!! I always wondered what the market for these cars would be if they were built like that from the factory.

Michael, what gear was used for the MR dyno tune? Fourth or fifth?

This turbo with S2 cams, springs and retainers would be perfect! That is my next step I think. It pulls really good in the upper gears which the stock turbo lacked. still launches good too! I was surprised by that. I thought the larger turbo would make it a dog out of the hole.

Love how it spool early with that setup. Makes me think about going this route. Did you have any other turbos in mind when doing this build?

I really like the 5858 for a stock block. The other idea I had was a 6062 gen 2 in a T4 twin scroll setup. This car could possible get a 6062 Gen 2 in the future. I am just so happy with this 5858 I am not sure I want to change it.

Michael, I didn't know you owned an MR. Anyways, I am curious why you didn't just stay stock frame. An FP Red or equivalent would have given you the same power with a few more psi of course. Are you planning on running E85 or something like your boys at English full time?

On my MR, I have stock frame, but my powerband is about 400-500rpm's earlier, and goes to 8500. Just curious why the choice of turbo. I run a 5858 myself on my Civic, but I never thought of using that on the 4b11t for a pump gas turbo on the MR.

How do you like the clutches, your the only local I know with them! I am so jealous! You got to roll by my shop, and give me a ride in that thing, or vice versa! I'd love to check out that Ford RS you got over there at ETS, could you ask JR if I could put it on my corner scales, I'll hook you guys up with coilovers
