2008-2010 nav unit in 2011
I know this will work as a plug in play unit but will the fuse and usb still work ? I know these features were new in 2011, i was planning to get the system upgrade but not to sure if this will ensure that the unit and features will be retained. Any info? I called the dealer and they believe the units are the same but werent sure if the the stereo features would be affected by the nav update or the unit itself. Anyone running this setup 2008 - 2010 nav unit in 2011 vehicle?

I tried this with my Navi unit out of my 09 Ralliart. FUSE/Bluetooth did not work. You need a 2011+ unit if you want to keep FUSE. If you don't care about not having FUSE, the Navi and audio still works along with the other diagnostic and service info.

I spoke with mitsu today on the phone. They confirmed a 2008 unit will work with fuse if wired correctly. They said that with proper reflash and updated key it will work just fine. They stated that the units are the same, the cars updated features wouldnt be an issue if the install was done correctly and updated.

When they said wired correctly, I think they were speaking about the radio harness. They said any unit for an evo 2008 - 2012 wouldn't make a difference. The harness and the software/firmware is what will make the difference. They suggested I have the dealer install it to ensure that it gets reset properly and that the right wires are used. I'm gonna order my kit from the dealer this weekend. They mailed me a coupon to get 20 % off so I was going to take advantage of any dealer parts that I still need
