Stop the fuel trims affecting WOT kill MPG

Stopping the fuel trims affecting WOT fueling kill gas mileage and doesnt stay at zero for the LTFT high. with it on, all the LTFT are in check and cruise trim are at +.95 19-23mpg average. Same distance with it off 27.6to 28.4mpg.

both average speed were 75mph to 80mph

here's a pix with it off great mpg

Just hope you'll read again what stopping LTFT at WOT does.

It kind of say it, it's only at WOT that it take effect.
When not at WOT the computer use you O2 sensor to try and reach 14.7, it doesn't use the fuel map.

What's you timing at in your cruise zone?

Also the Stop the fuel trims affecting WOT doesnt work, unless you tested on a flat road. I have been testing stuffs for 2 weeks now. Let say for example your setting to stop the fueltrim form affecting WOT are mid-high 300 and high to mid 293.75. You adjust your injector latency or scaling to get your fueltrim closer to +-5, well when you do that it will throw the Stop the fuel trims affecting WOT from staying at 0. So you will raise it again, it's back and forward process that never end. And yes i reset the ecu every time. Like i said before, it only work on a flat road, if going hill watch your high LTFT change.

my Mid to high is 350
high to mid is 343.75

damn LTFT high chnage to +2.8 on a 10 minutes up hill NON WOT at constant speed of 75mph.

post up a picture of your LT Trim Control table...

as I said on email - you have the entries too low, you need 350/343 or maybe just 1 under that..

if you use 300/292 then you run the risk of activating the high trim, but still in open loop - thus the trim will change...

post up a log...

you are probably hitting (and staying on) a very narrow load band that has the trim enabled and still in closed loop...

Logging Maf HZ in the area you actually want the crossover would be a good start.

I can't really understand what you are trying to explain in post #5 as it's all randomness.

Like others have said, this changes the LTFT from affecting WOT fueling, and does not change closed loop fuel trim performance. I can't really see how this can have any affect on cruise MPG unless you are setting it too low and are cruising in improperly tuned open loop.
