Evo X which EMS ?

Hi

I am helping a friend , trying to figure out which EMS to get for his Evo X with GTX35

The combination of BigMaf and FIC2150 injectors (because of ethanol) is not good , and we have considered going for other injectors but tuning for higher boost with the BigMaf is something that would probably be easier with an aftermarket EMS.

I have quite a bit of experience with Ecuflash and AEM EMS V1 and V2
But not alot on other platforms.
There seems to be no AEM EMS V2 for the Evo X available.

So my question is if there is any good experience with some other EMS's ?
Haltec or something else ?

regards

GEMS and MoTeC are both very respectable choices and have direct plug-in ECM/EMS options. It all depends on who's doing the tuning as to the preference. I'd call a dealer for each and chat them up for a while to get a feel about the systems.

Thanks for the ideas

Yes I know it depends alot upon who is tuning.

We dont have alot of options here in Iceland
But I have done a fair bit of tuning on AEM EMS as well as other EMS's
I am not to keen on Gems though they are very well respected
Going to check if MoTeC would brake the bank

Please research about ACD/AYC control as well. If you replace the stock ECU, you would be losing the ACD/AYC functionality i think, unless you get the after maket diff controllers as well ( if I am wrong sorry about that). I think the stock ECUs has been cracked pretty well and lots of high HP X's are running with stock ECUs.
