HKS R Type intercooler dyno

Features:

* R Type core, which is large capacity + low pressure loss type, was selected. Performance will be improved even with stock ECU.
* High performance “70mm piping spec” and “low cost replacement type” will be available. (stock piping 60mm)
* The core is common for both types. Side tanks of R type is polished and pipings are different.
* With stock bumper, appearances of both types are the same.
* Core size (525x304x103) stock (490x292x65)
* Stock air cleaner box, Racing suction reloaded, SSQV, Intercooler piping kit can be used together.

Remarks
* Modification of headlamp support upper panel, reinforcement and aircon pipe
are required during installation.
*Resetting of ECU is not required.
*Area of core will be larger than stock and it is thicker. Therefore upgrading of radiator is recommended for sportdriving.

Over 50% larger than OEM IC. This is good. Noticed in second image that engine bay half of UICP is black or actually insullated? If the latter then this also good because one does not want to reheat the intake air after the intercooler due to the high temperatures in the engine bay. Also, since the numbers are not printed it is difficult to interpollate the actual whp gains from theis intercooler. Can they be retrieved and relative OEM IC? Appreciate the effort.

Cost? And does, "Modification of headlamp support upper panel, reinforcement and aircon pipe are required during installation" mean the 4.22" wide unit is going to be difficult to fit considering the OEM IC is 2.6"wide?

If you have the 60mm version - yes.
If you have the current 70mm version - not without a 60mm to 70mm adapter.

#13001-AM006 includes the 70mm piping with the intercooler.
