HKS Hi Power Exhaust after Break-in /w Vids and Pics

Here are a couple of vids I did today and will some more tomorrow to get a better sound of the drive-by as I was driving by the highway where the ambient noise is a bit high. I have a stock cat on the car. I also post some of my old vids to compare the before and after break-in of this very awesome exhaust. I also took the vid in HD camcorder and regular camera so you can compare. Honestly, the HD vid one gives it the more natural sound that I hear from standing behind it. The camera version of the same vid has a more movie style loudness. Non of these videos were tampered with, I just made these videos 1 hour ago. Enjoy and btw I will be selling this baby soon because I need a to get a quieter exhaust for the family. I'm going to miss this.

Very nice video and exhaust. BTW covering up your license plate and putting the link for the you tube video, we can still see the license plate LOL

obviously depending on the price and also because you are local i am tempted to buy this off of you if and when you sell it. i would also need to hear it in person to decide if its too loud.

Very nice thanks for the vids, btw how did you get the exhaust to tuck closer to the bumper instead of hanging so low?

Thanks! I've been looking forever for some better vids of this exhaust. I think it sounds pretty quiet. I'm pretty sure I can still hear sound from the engine bay during the rev and I can hear your blinker (which is normally almost impossible to hear even on stock exhaust) over the exhaust. Pretty much has the sound level I'm looking for- quiet, but just loud enough to let you know it's there. At least that's how it seems on the vids...

It's pretty much loud when you punch the pedal or let it decelerate between 4k-3k but which exhaust doesn't do that. The car definitely sounds more race car like than a standard Evo with typical exhaust. I can straight up say that if you plan to drive in 75+ mph on pretty much all exhaust you will have a slight hum tone inside the cabin just like with stock exhaust just that this one is a bit louder. If you have passengers in the back seat they can be annoyed since they are not use to a car with an exhaust, but to the driver and co-passenger up front it won't annoy since the music will overlap that noise. I usually have the music crank between 14-18 if that helps on how loud it's inside the cabin. I can guarantee that each time when you hit the pedal on this exhaust, it'll leave a smile on your face.

HKS website specifies 75mm piping diameter. Also says it's off-road use only. Does this exhaust eliminate the cat? If not I'd assume that it's off road because maybe it's louder than 95dB?

Yes externally it's louder than 95 db by 7 as it's rated for 102 db max on stock cat. It does not replace the stock cat as it is a catback exhaust system not a turbo back.

Yup the exhaust is up for sale now in private section. I'm shedding tears now that I've parted it.
