ACT Prolite Flywheel

Does anyone have an ACT Prolite Flywheel in there Evo X?? I know in the 93.5-98 Twin Turbo Supra's if you install the light flywheel the trannys chatter and rattle at idle. I'm just wondering if the Evo Rattles as well with a light flywheel.

Less mass for heat transfer...its not always better to have the lightest flywheel....for drag and street driving the streetlite is better...prolite is better for road racing.

Are you sure that was the trans rattling at idle that you heard? Typically twin or triple disk clutches rattle at idle. A flywheel should not be able to rattle since its one single piece.

Yes I'm sure... It's not the flywheel rattling. It's the gearbox. The V-160 Getrag trans has a very heavy gear set and does not do well with the light flywheels.

Most people would want the Streetlite. The Prolite makes it harder to leave from a stop but the motor revs a little freer -- obviously that's great for road courses because you only stop in the pits but need to rev match constantly.
