Sorry I meant C161E. The pump winds for 7 seconds than stops same speed. Does this mean the pump is bad? Or is it something else....

That's absolutely standard dead-pump behavior. You must replace the pump, rebuild the pump with the parts from Canada, or send the pump out for repair.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Its on the passenger side, in the rear, you have to remove the wheel to access it. As far as removing it, I'm not too sure about that.

Is the canada rebuild kit on ebay good? Or is there another place to get it?

Watch the video on rebuilding before attempting. And, yes, they sell their kits on ebay. Nothing should splatter, because there will be no pressure. After all, your pump is dead.

The kit is solid. I have it in my own pump.

There is now a sticky to report when your pump failed (if you have been so blessed). Please post in it, if your pump has died. Thanks.

most of the time its not a failure of the pump if you can hear the pump spinning and not stopping until after 7 secounds you no you have this problem

the ayc pump should start spinning build up presure and then slow down, if your pump runs at the same speed after starting up for 7 secounds its probably the cause

if you live in a area with cold weather and salt on the roads, u will encounter this problem for sure

good thing is you can get them rebuilt for alot less than a new one, mine came to £300 rebuilt, where dealers wanted £2000+ for new one
Hi, do you remember where you sent your pump get it rebuilt in the UK? Mine has gone and the price at Mitsubishi is £3100!

thanks
