So recently put some coil overs on my 08 GSR (50k mile). Drove completely fine for about a month. Couple days ago driving to work I suddenly hear a clicking sound coming from the front. The clicking corresponds when I speed up or slow down. Even with clutch in or neutral it clicks. The only time it stops is when I brake and my speed is about 10mph. Searching around and I've read cv boot leak and drying up the joints to a dying t-case. F me right. I'll try to post a video with the sound before I jack up the car this weekend.

Sounds similar to this http://www.yourpicturehost.com/Clicking_sound.mp3

Are you lowered? I had the same issue, followed by a vibration that developed under some loads and rpms, mainly in 3rd and 4th from 3-5k rpm. I went back to a stock suspension and the problem went away.

Silly question, but have you taken your car to one of those you-wash-it places and blasted that corner, aiming straight at the caliper? If would be sad if you got worked up and did a lot of searching and hand-wringing, only to have it be a small stone or some sand from the street.

I haven't thought about checking the calipers. I just hope when I take that undertray out I see no grease. It's too dang cold in the garage to do anything even with a little heater so hopefully tomorrow I get to check it out.

Well, I think a trip to the car-wash is worth it, because what you're describing matches a stone between the rotor and heat-shield pretty well.

Hope it isn't the actual joint failing just a tear in the boot. That would set me back big if I had to replace the axles
