Talking 08 Evo X gsr first mod advice

hI guys so I have an 08 evo gsr. I have tein lowering springs that came on it and i have installed a gps and turbo timer. Now I'm about to order some more parts.. This is what im thinking tell me if I should go a different route or if you agree. Parts im interested in buying .... Cobb access port, test pipe, Cobb intake and maybe the cobb intercooler piping. Thoughts are greatly appreciated. Btw this is my DD and I plan to keep it that way for a while. Long range goals.. Approximately 450hp 400tq.

For now I'd just get some really good metal int. and ext. shift bushings, a really good lower engine mount and call it a day.
You'll notice HUGE improvements over stock!
GL!!

do all maintenance mods first: check your relays, make sure all recalls are up to date, all fluids changed, ziptie fuel pressure hose, remove clutch pill, etc.

That's awesome advice on the shift bushings and motor mount! I'll do that, any advice on brands or materials they are made of?

As for the fluids.. I've changed the oil to synthetic Mobil 1 (it has 40k miles), replaced the stock air filter, replaced the fuel relay and bought a spare :-) , changed man. Trans fluid as well. What is the clutch pill and what does it do?

it's a clutch restrictor pill........ basically it'll automatically ride the clutch to prevent drivetrain damage (inconsistant clutch engagement). If you look online, you'll get a better explanation

7. remove bleeder nipple
8. use a small allen key to poke the pill and spring out
9. wipe crush washers clean and reinstall banjo bolt
10. reinstall bleeder nipple (leave loose)
11. fill fluid reservoir
12. bleed clutch system
13. top off fluid
14. reinstall intake
15. give me another beer
16. tell me to go home

Steps 1, 2, 3, 15, and 16 are optional.

It is an awesome mod, not only does it help your clutch last longer you'll get much more precise and consistent clutch pedal feedback and engagement.

Found this and thought was an awesome dialog to repost!!! I'll be doing this tomorrow night!!!! Thank you for the heads up!
