Evo X Surge while at constant throttle

Evo X Surge while at constant throttle
I just picked up a 2008 MR and noticed after driving it for a bit that it seems to have a bit of a surge. Maintaining constant pedal position the car will fluctuate about 250 rpm. The car runs well (no misfires, codes etc.) and doesn't exhibit any other issues.
Car is on the stock tune, and is otherwise totally stock with the exception of a cat back, 75k miles on the clock.
Any thoughts? Im going to try a trans flush on Tuesday and see if that helps - Im not familiar with the SST yet but this seemed to be a the best place to start.
