First Oil change on its way...?
I have EVO X '15 FE.
I have about 1500 miles on it so far. I'm debating whether to
do it at 2k or 3k miles. Going with full syn. 5w-30 .
Anyway does this help your car , if you change your rear diff fluid and transfercase at 3k miles? I read somewhere all the metal shavings you will see because it's new. Is this true? The early the better I guess? I know you will see some, but do most people change the diff and tranny fluid like 15k or 30k?

I would have changed the engine oil within the first 500 miles. Yes, it is beneficial to change the tcase, rear diff and trans early..

I change all my fluids along with spark plugs every single year during the months of Jan - March (with oil changes every 3/4 months)
Approx 1 to 1.5 years.
I usually put on 10-11k miles per year.
Unless you plan on driving 30k miles in 5 months then obviously do it sooner.
But 15-25k miles Is more than sufficient. But i Personally would not do it afterwards.
But it can never hurt to do things sooner
Unless your eating peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches daily to afford the GAS !
In that case, just do it as recommended by the manufacturer.
The car will drive perfectly fine at the intervals you posted for a daily non-track car.

Cool. Thanks y'all.
NYC EVOIX lol I am kinda poor to afford on gas.
17MPG sucks . It's a great car, any aftermarket part is quite expensive.
I heard you can tune it so you get lil better gas mileage.
Does anyone know mitsubishi part # for diff fluid rear and tranny oil?

Yea as stated above do it now. Keep that oil clear. If its got any black in it replace it.
My 146k car has a clear oil. When i pull dipstick.
Thats how i do my oil changes.
