Good deals on a turbo?

I just had my Mhi for about a month and im already looking for an upgrade. I decided on the GTX3076r. Im just looking to make 450hp and for some reason my Mhi fell short of my goal. Im not sure if its my tune or my setup. I would go with the GTX3071x but i dont want to make the mistake of getting it and realizing down the road i want something better. Are there any deals out there that im not aware of for the GTX3076r?
found this but it might be a typo

I got my GT3071R for about 2k. So id say paying a few extra hundred for the power is reasonable. Turbo I bought is rated to get 475whp. Havent got a tune yet but im pushing around 370-380 whp. Mods being ets intake, Exhaust mani, and just the turbo.

Stay away from the GTX3076. That's what I have. Surges so bad.

Go with the GTX3576 GenII

What's the difference between the gen 1 and gen 2? How Do I tell the difference? All the sites that I'm looking at doesn't say gen1 or 2

The MHI18k will make over 450whp on E85, on a dynojet. Did your tuner mention you being out of fuel or anything like that, being the cause of low power output?

It was a mustang dyno. So I figure it'll be 400 on a dynojet but yeah it does seem kinda low.

407 on a mustang dyno puts you in the 455-460 range on a correctly calibrated mustang dyno. If the car has stock cams, it will pick up ~25whp with a simple cam upgrade to GSC S1's.

As far as turbo's go, its either an MHI18k, or a full turbo kit for the X. The bigger stock frames just get laggier but don't return the power numbers in spades. The precision 5858 makes for an awesome setup on the X. Full boost at 4500rpm, capable of 600whp+ with a built motor to handle it..

That is odd given that it has an anti-surge housing, and I have not heard of this being a common issue with that turbo before. Can you post any graphs / info about this perhaps on a new thread? I would love to see the MAF airflow, engine rpm, EBC duty cycle, and MAP when this is happening.

I do agree that the MHI should reach your arbitrary goal, especially on E85 exclusively.
However....
Something more practical like "I want to make XX more than I did stock on this dyno" or "I want to have an 11.3 1/4 mile time" would make your goal factually attainable. Honestly the dyno operator could make the dyno sheet report 450 at the wheels and then you would be happy?

Exactly. Why get a GTX30 when you already have an MHI. To me, it's not worth the upgrade for marginal benefit.

Get some stage 2 cams and be done. It doesn't matter what the dyno says, that is a good amount of power on E85 and will be pushing the stock block. Any more and you would need to build the block anyway.

MHI, Stage 2 cams, and E85 will be right around 500whp on a Dynojet.
