so i went to englishtown today for street wars and decided id run my car to see what it does stock. It weighed in at 3,662 Lbs with me in it and a 1/4 tank of gas. and my best time of the day was a 13.5 at 99.9 mph with a 1.9 60Ft., with minor bolt ons and a clutch this car is going to be a fun, low 12 sec car to drive around in. ive read that people rated the car for 14.0s which is not true because that was my first time running this car. i ran 2 13.8s and 1 13.5 which was my 2nd pass ever in it.

ya that not to bad. I took my stock evo x to area 51 dragway in roswell, nm. Its about 3600ft above sea level and i ran a 13.50 almost a 13.49 dang but i did trap out almost at 103 (102.95). I ran a other 13.56 at 102.46 let me post some pic so you can see the slips. i am car #77

i dono the clutch was taking a beaten lol but with a better clutch it mite launch better.

nice i plan on doing intercooler pipes, mbc, n 3" exhaust and it will be 12s without a doubt.

Awsome man i actually already orderd all that from AMS. Just waiting for them to finish making them and ship it. I have coming on the way the FMIC, upper IC piping, intake, test pipe, exhaust, and boost controler. And as soon as they make that o2 housing with the down pipe ill be ordering that too. Ams dyno all that 100hp over stock so i should be sitting around 340. And once they crack the ECU and i can tune it i should be sitting around 360awhp not bad for bolt on's. I thinking mid to low 12s what do you think.

Nice runs, wow I didn't even know you bought a X. Congrats on your purchase although VIII was pretty bad ***. Yeah since when did people start sayin' the EVO X was 14 second car, I thought we already established it wasn't. I know people say power to weight and stuff, but even with the weight it still should run 13s. Even if it is only making 235whp to 245whp stock (less than most IXs) it still should crack high 13s with a 1.9 or less 60 ft. People for some reason just love to hate the X. Honestly in my opinion with a 1.8 60ft the X is easily a 13.4 to 13.8@98 to 103mph depending on the stock power. The stock power has been all over the place, anywhere from 230whp to 255whp (dyno jets) but the torque has been consistent. But as I said before even 235whp/3580Lbs and AWD should crack high 13s with a decent driver.

Nice runs and good numbers! Glad to know that most of the mags underrated the car! I agree the clutch is $#IT. Still trying to wait for someone to figure out how to adjust the clutch. I know the 350z guys can but ours seems to be different. It'd be nice to be able to adjust the engagement point.

I think the reference to 14s was from the magazine articles. But, the mags don't typically test on a prepped dragstrip. So, that's why their numbers would be slower than those of guys hitting a legit dragstrip.

without out a doubt. defintly low 12s man. its going to be fun. my stock turbo evo 8 was 12.0 car and i had lots of fun driving around the streets with it. once i built that motor n put the 35r on it was a 10 sec car but i couldnt enjoy it on the streets no more. this car i enjoy more.

yea he pulled me over to ask me where my plate was and then i said i have the temp, and it was in my front windsheild cause the back u cant see it cause of the tints. so i let me go anyway.
