Evo X owners in New Zealand - NZ
Hey there,
Are there any other Evo X owners in New Zealand - NZ who are actively modifying their car? Just wondering what other people have done?
I'm based in Wellington and find it hard to find any business that can supply and fit a lip kit or body kit for my car, anyone found a good dealer for the Evo X?
All my performance modifications were supplied and fitted by Speedtech Motorsports - STM, really awesome bunch of guys and did a fantastic job.
They have done the following:
* HKS Super Hybrid Panel Filter
* STM Custom De Cat Pipe
* HKS Front Downpipe
* HKS Silent Hi-Power Exhaust
* HKS M45 Spark Plugs
* HKS Intercooler Hard Pipe Kit
* STM Dyno Reflash
* HKS EVC 6 Turbo Boost Controller
* Bendix Street/Road/Track Brakes
* STM Custom Braided Brake Lines
Currently putting out 72kw over stock. Quite a beast on the small streets of Wellington.

Not as many Xs here as compared to the states. I've only seen one X on the streets since they came out. All the NZDM models I've seen are from the FQ series, more expensive than the USDM models. I was looking at Xs but thought 50k+ wasn't exactly sensible for me just yet. Good luck with your search for good modding shops. They're pretty scarce in Hamilton too, I only know of two performance stores and I've been advised not to visit either of them.
+1 for some pics.

I've attached some pictures as requested...
It looks completely stock in silver ... nothing special except for the larger exhaust tips and the sound. All the goodies are hidden inside.
Also I forgot to mention its got a complete Alpine Type X system... (got to have everything matching the X) installed by Car Stereo Company (went out of business) but then upgraded by Street Soundz.
Hence why I'm looking for any NZ shops that can do something special for the appearance of my car.

Hey there AndyCT9A,
There are quite a few X's running around Wellington... 3 silvers ones on the same block as me (pretty funny...not only same car but same colour too) but the owner of the MR version upgraded to a GTR instead.
Yeah I've seen the some of the FQ ones too but they are just NZ new EVO's upgraded by mitsubishi NZ with an FQ kit.... not the real ones like in the UK.... with upgraded brakes, CF Lips and CF VG that come standard.
So instead of getting one of the FQ ones... I've got a stock Evo X and do the moddifications myself with much better parts.
Also... saw your Evo 9 wagon on your profile.... much respect!!! I've never seen one in NZ before and yours looks awesome.
