Greddy SE vs ETS V2

Hello everyone. I was plan on getting an exhaust next spring, but I know someone selling a Greddy SE for a good price. I haven't heard the SE in person or the ETS.

I'm looking for an exhaust that is louder than the stock while driving around town not spirited, but not obnoxiously loud. When I give her some gas though I want to hear some music.

Is the Greddy good for that? I'm gonna try to go see it in person. How is the ETS compared to the Greddy for my wants?

Thanks!

Yeah I meant to ask about that. I will be driving it through the Chicago winter and don't feel like swapping it out every season.

And I have seen videos of both, but videos never do anything any justice.

I am currently running a Greddy SEright now. If you're just running the catback alone, there's a noticeable difference in the tone of the sound but it is not loud.

However I have heard and witnessed that with an aftermarket down and test pipe, at WOT it screams!

My vote is for ETS We have a ton of videos on our site and youtube. I have never seen the Greddy exhaust first hand so I can't comment on it.

Hah! Do tell. Has anyone attempted to do an actual, objective dB measurement for various exhaust systems? I know that NASIOC has a fairly extensive database for Subaru exhausts.

I own both ETS V2 extreme, and ETS V2 quiet. The ETS V2 quiet is what you're looking for. The Greddy Spectrum Elite is not the way to go by any means. Evo X 6950, had it and we found out down the road that it's really around 2-1/2, 2-3/4 exhaust. It's a tad bit louder than the stock exhaust, and on WOT it sounds about 5-6 decibles louder which is by all means not lout at all. Go with the ETS quiet and you definitely wont regret it at "all"...!

I've never heard greddy referred to as "sh!tty quality", but I bet your rust situation is a result of you living in an area that uses lots of salt on their roads.

The rust pitted pretty deep in just one winter. Chicago winters meh...

The material used for their hangers is fantastic, and flanges is pretty good. The piping is $hit. Same thing for the inside of the muffler....$hit

Weird, i've been running the Greddy TiC for about 2 years. No signs of rust. I know where talking about the SE but the materials used are the same.

run the Ti-C as well (the blue tip original) and absolutely love the sound.
I have an AMS resonate testpipe, but I kinda am dying to hear it without it.
