Dead/Disconnected battery and FAST key issues.
I was working last night on installing my COBB Intake and I cut the power to the car so I can reset the ECU once I get everything in.
It got pretty late so I locked the car manually (live in an apartment) and much to my surprise this morning I can't get into my car at all! I used the emergency key in the FOB but it won't unlock the door. Just swivels about 45 degrees left and right but no unlock. It won't even unlock using the key backwards in the FOB.
Anyone?!?

Well I ended up calling Mitsubishi roadside.
Apparently the key should have unlocked the door regardless of the battery being dead ( that's what I thought ) Auto Rescue came out and got me in my car but I'm a little bit nervous now knowing I could be stranded until I figure out why my emergency key won't unlock the door.
To be continued.

I have yet to go to the dealership. I'll be sure to post an update when I do.
There has to be a way to get in your car if the battery in it is completely kaput.
All the how to's I've read are for what to do if your FAST Fob goes dead not the car itself.

I had the same thing happen to me.
This was after a cab driver backed into my drivers door in downtown Chicago. Body shop replaced the door, but didn't connect the manual lock properly when re-installing it.
The battery died a couple months later and I was SOL. Had to call mitsu roadside assistance to get into the car. The bodyshop fixed the latch though and appologized, and now it works fine.
But that's definitely your problem, for some reason your key lock mechanism isn't connected properly, I would assume dealership can fix this.
