Gas gauge problem?!?

Hey guys, this is the second time in a row this has happened. I went to the pump and filled up my tank. I set the pump and let it go till it automatically stops. Get in my car, and my gas gauge isn't all the way full. It shows up as 8/10 full. Has anyone had this problem? What is going on?

Damn that sucks man. Is this on flat ground, or are you on a hill. Did you try to put more gas in there after the automatic shutoff? Hey you have a 2014, so it might be a bad sensor, just take it to the stealership.

That's not the gauge, it's the way you had the nossle on the pump inserted.

It automatically cut off because it was most likely at a funny angle in the tank when there was still more room for fuel.

I have a 2014 as well and no issue, maybe try holding the nozzle rather then letting go on auto and fill till it stops and see if your results differ. If you still have the same issue check with the dealer.

I never use the "auto" anymore. It would always cut off early, way to early, or not work at all. I don't even try anymore.

That's too hard of a question. Easier to just go on here and post.

Next time you get gas, hold it by hand and let us know.

Ya, some pumps have too high of a flow rate; gas doesn't pour into the tank fast enough. The gas accumulates and the nozzle shuts off.

Alright guys. The verdict is... same problem. I decided to go to another gas station and fill up. I set it on automatic, and this time when i got in the car it was full until i pulled out of the gas station. Weird... so, my next fill up I'm going to try to just hold it until it stops, which to me would be the same thing as setting it on auto stop. Right? What else should i try?

Well, if anything take it to the dealer and have them look at it. I'm guessing you have warranty correct?
