Swapping MR Chrome Trim to GSR Black Trim

Easy as 1,2,3

Front Window Trim

1. Unscrew the black philps screw located at the top rear of the driver/passenger door on the inside of the door. You will have to open the door to see it.

2. Carefully pull up on the trim starting at the screw. The trim is held on with very weak clips so it should come out very easy. You do not have to remove the side mirrors to remove the trim, they just tuck up inside the mirrors a little.

3. Stand back and admire your work or swap with the GSR trim in the reverse order.

Rear Window Trim

1. Unscrew the black philps screw located at the top front (by the B-pillar) of the rear passenger door on the inside of the door. You will have to open the door to see it.

2. Carefully pull up on the trim starting at the screw. The trim is held on with very weak clips so it should come out very easy.

3. Stand back and admire your work or swap with the GSR trim in the reverse order.

Front Bumper

1. Remove front bumper - First part of this thread will show you how https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...lustrated.html

2. Unscrew all screws/clips associated for the removal of the chrome ring and center bumper cover. There are alot, so charge your screw gun. If you look carefully, you can remove the chrome ring, center bumper, and grill mesh all together as one. Once you flip the bumper over, you'll be able to figure out everything you need to remove. So don't sweat it.

3. Stand back and admire your work or swap with the GSR front bumper trim in the reverse order.

oh wow!--thanks for the thread!!! subscribed for later use.

btw, do you know if the black gsr front bumper trim can be purchased seperately from the dealer?

also, i assume the black gsr window trim is readily available from the dealer?

any idea how much?

edit:.... found it:

looks like it will be ~$350 for all the pieces.

Im alot about doing things the right way but in this case wouldnt it be better to just vinyl the pieces or sand and paint rather then paying 40$ per trim piece or paying 350 for the ring? i mean i no its not a permanent solution but definitly worth saving the money for better mods

Some people think that the Chrome trim on the MR's shouldnt belong on an Evo.
