A question for AMS intake owners

A question for AMS intake owners
Looking at picking up a new intake. It's either between ETS or AMS. However, looking over the how to I noticed that the ETS intake needs some adjustments/cutting to the crank case vent PCV hose. That would be fine if I didn't live in California, where I would need to switch back to my stock airbox when it comes to smog time.
So, looking at the AMS intake, is there any modifying when it comes to that area as well? I'm not planning on running a catch can. I just plan on buying with the bungs and connecting both the solenoid and hose to each spot.

I'm in Cali as well. I currently have the AMS and it doesn't pass the smog visual. Reason why I picked up an AEM intake recently so I wouldn't have to deal with it in that regard.
As for my AMS I had to relocate the bov to the front instead of the back of the engine bay.

I installed an ETS short ram intake myself and trimmed a little off the hose. I have recently switched to the AMS cold air intake and the hose was just a little on the short end but still reached fine. If you go with ETS just trim the smallest amount you need to.
The reason I switched intakes was that I wanted to be able to pull in cold air from the bumper and the AMS intake is much lighter, aluminum vs. steel. The ETS is still a great intake for the price, I'm not suggesting one over the other. They both have their pros and cons.
