Red Dragon's 08 PB Evo X MR
Evolution M Garage
Update January 22, 2010
Its been a long time since i posted and update. I have been to busy working with my other project.
New Mod: Prosport 52mm Boost Gauge - White and Prosport 52mm Gauge Cup. I mounted the gauge beside the mirror to avoid clutter on the dash. IMO i think it looks better than having gauges on the dash.
My co pilot. 3 foot Hello Kitty.
My new project 240sx with sr20 swap

New Track times
Best time:
Reaction: .574
60 ft: 1.923
ET: 13.415
MPH: 101.798
Elevation:1653 Feet
Temp: 18-20 Celsius (65-70F)
ASC Off, S-Sport Mode, Auto Shift
Tranny held strong. Fan keep the trans pretty cool. Trans seem to shift 500 rpms early on first gear and then redline the other gears. Reaction times were not too good. Its hard to time it out so you dont rev the motor for too long.
I tried manual shift, times were slower (13.796 slowest time)
Performance Mods
T1R Racing Test Pipe
Nisei Engineering 6061 AL UICP - Nisei Red
Nisei Engineering 6061 AL Intake Pipe - Matte Black
Tactrix Open Port 2.0 - Gunzo 91 Oct Tune
No air filter
Spal 5.2” Transmission Cooler Fan

New Mods! Nisei Engineering 6061 AL 1pc UICP, Nisei Red. Nisei Engineering 6061 AL Intake Pipe Kit, Matte Black. VVME 4300k HID Fog lights. Nisei make some great products, coating turned out great. Intake kit was abit tight, but with some effort and time, it all fit together. Hid matched very good with the stock lights. Hid required to wire in a 30 amp relay. Sorry for the bad pics. I will take some more pics in the morning.

New mods! T1R Resonated Test pipe. My exhaust sounds just like the stock exhaust. Great quality and fitment. The test pipe came with a antifouler but it did not prevent cel to come on . I am going to try out a 90 bend o2 eliminator to see if it will eliminate cel. Hopefully it works. Another drawback is that the T1R test pipe does not come with a bracket to hold the o2 sensor wire. Infact many test pipes made, do not have a wire bracket. I dont understand how hard it is to weld a peice of metal with holes in it on to a peice of pipe! I had to make my own 02 wire bracket. I used a nylon coated metal strapping and some zip ties to hold the wire up. I ran the wire above the pipe instead of below the pipe (stock). I will take a pic next time.
Also got T1R Led dome lights. I replaced my trunk light. Huge improvement.
More to come Nisei UICP, Intake and HID Fogs
My brother's dog making love to it.

Finally got some pics of my new rims and tires. My wheels are Advan RGII 18X10 +25 5X114.5 GTR Face
wraped with Kumho Ecsta MX (KU15) - 275/35R18. The front wheel rubs on the fenderliner and partialy on the mudflaps. The rear wheel hits the fenders on hard cornering. I definetly need to roll the rear fenders.
For people that are going to get 10 wide rims with 25 offset or equivalent, stick with 265/35R18 tires.

Finally got my MR in Saskatoon. A few things that i have noticed.
1. The car is very stable at high speeds. Steering wheel is very firm compared to other cars.
2. The car is alot stiffer compared to my bros 08 STI. Evo feels more sporty. Sti feels more comfortable. Evo seat are more supportive. Sti seats are softer.
3. High beams are part of the HID. there is a metal flap that goes up when you turn on the High Beams. Light beside the projectors are your DRLS.
4. You are able to operate and change the settings on the navi while moving. The STi navi requires you to stop the car before changing the settings.

Yay! I finally got my 08 Phantom Black Evo X MR Premium on June 23. I bought it at Vancouver Mitsubishi from Adam Hsu (great salesman). I bought the car for MSRP at $53,153. Saskatoon Mitsubishi had $5000 mark-up on all of their Evo. It will be a 1700km drive home.
I also have some Advan RGII 18X10 +25 in gold waiting to be put on. I don’t have any shoes yet but I plan to put on some Kumho 275/35R18.

Congratulations sir. Looks awesome. Love to see the CDN Evos.
Get the heated seats or sunroof? I see the Nav (sweet)...
Anyway, enjoy. Looks like you're well on your modding way...
