Weds SA-55M BRM on RR Mounted
I just got the wheels back from getting repainted and finally on the car. Turned out great, some tape line issues but you have to look close to see. It was an extra $250.00 to have them painted locally with me getting the taping taken care of. Thanks to Ravspec for great service and great pricing!

I think OP repainted it black because the wheels come with a layer of red paint over the black from the factory. And in the sun, it makes the wheel look like a plum color. Here's his previous thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...5m-brm-rr.html

Evokerfes is correct, the plum color just didn't work with RR.. which I knew when ordering but figured I'd get them painted if it didn't work out.
Getting them painted was harder then I initially thought. I took it to two shops and a powered coater and nobody wanted to touch them due to the complexity to mask them. I found a guy that was willing to do the masking on the side and had a local tire shop that somewhat specializes in painting wheels do the painting.
I also had to roll the rear fenders, nobody in town had a roller so I rented one on line. Project went ok but there is a rubber strip along the inside of our fender that came off along with the paint but it is not visible. Rolling was not hard but it took alot of effort due to the limited slip diff and I only raised the one side at a time, after about 40 minutes my arms were pretty sore.
The tires rub at full lock on the liner with the louvers but I don't think it will be a problem, I am considering going with Progress springs now that the front looks so high, maybe the springs need to resettle after being on the lift :?
