Tein S-Tech Springs

Hey guys wondering if any one is running Tein S-Tech springs with 9.5 wide wheels?

What offset are you running and what size tires are you running?

Any rubbing? Rolled fenders?

Thanks!

I'm assuming I will need to roll my fenders a little for this set up but if anyone has any experience or suggestions I would love to hear it. I've read everything from "You'll be fine" to "You'll need to pull your fenders" but it hasn't been my set-up.

Wheels: Cosmis MR7 18x9 +25
Tires: Preferably 255 35 18; 245 40 18 if I would need it for fitment
Suspension: BC BR Coilovers

Thanks!

New Wheels

Hi guys,
I was thinking about getting a set of STR 514 wheels in the 18x10 size. I had a couple questions. 1) Would they clear the brembos without the need of spacers? If not, what size spacers would be needed to clear them? The wheels come in +15 or +25 offset, which brings me to my next question. 2) What offset would I go with? I'm assuming if I did need spacers, the +25 would be the way to go. But, if not, should I go for the +15 or still stick with the +25? Thanks for the help!

XXR 521 18x10 +12

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if the 18x10 +12 XXR 521 wheels would clear the brembos? I've heard the +25 offset ones aren't even close, and you'd need large spacers. But, does anyone know about the +12 offset ones? A set is for sale locally, and I was maybe going to grab them if I can get them for the right price. Anything helps, thanks!

I just got 18x10.5 +15 wheels and I'm trying to decide what tire size. From reading through some of the past responses it looks like three choices are the most common:

265/35
275/35
285/35

Does anyone recommend one size over the other with my wheel size? I checked willtheyfit.com so I pretty much know how they will look so I'm just looking for opinions or experience.

+20 offset should be plenty. If you were at +35 or greater, then I might worry.

275/35 are the same diameter as stock (245/40), so I would choose those.

If you were to go 285, I would go 285/30. The 285/35 are almost an inch taller than stock and you will rub inner fenders when turning.

Sorry if this is a little vague/noobish, but any help would be appreciated.

First, anyone have 19's? Care to comment on them? Is the ride too harsh? Are your rims too likely to get bent from a pothole? It seems like the tire profile gets pretty small with 19's...

Also, what's the widest you can get without having rubbing issues (even at full lock or with a moderate drop)? I'd like to avoid camber and keep the fenders/wheel well liners stock. I've seen two setups that claim to have no rubbing issues: 18x9.5 +22 w/ 265/35/18 and 19x10.5 +22 w/ 275/30/19. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

I should probably add that I don't want to have much tire stretch and I don't want the hellaflush stance nation look. Just a nice square setup that's pretty flush with the fenders, but is still good to DD.

Evo X OEM BBS fitment

I have a set of Evo X BBS wheels that I believe are OEM for the MR. I think the size is 18 x 8.5 but I am not sure. Anyway, the stock 245/45/18s are not wide enough. I am trying to fill in the wheel well without any modifications to the fenders (rolling) or any rubbing issues. Kind of a square look from fender to tires. So, does anyone know what the maximum size tires I can put on these wheels to bring it out more? I would rather stay away from spacers but would consider them if needed. My goal is to not screw up the ride or sacrifice any safety. I took off some Roto 18 x 10s that were way too wide.

Spacers is probably your best bet. Do a search and you'll find what size you need.

Or run wider wheels. Not sure what offset your Rotas were, but you can run 18x10 with no issues.

Do not run the wrong size tire on your wheels. 245's are perfect for stock wheels. You run the risk of sacrificing performance, plus one step up in tire size is not going to do anything for the look you are going for.
