? for you guys on brake noise and tire rotation

1. My brakes started sqealing 3months after getting a new evo. I usually use foam cleaners for the wheel, could this be the liquids getting on the rotator and brake to make that annoying sound? And how do I get rid of it?

2. How often or at how many miles do I do a tire rotation if needed?

don't worry about brake squeal. It does nothing. If it really bothers you, lube up your pads/shims/pins with the purple ceramic brake lube from permatex.

As for the rotation, it depends on your tires. All Seasons, I'd go 6-8000 miles or everyother oil change. Performance tires, I'd do 2-3000 miles or every oil change.

directional tires will make more noise than regular tires. stay away unless the car is not on the track cause then it really won't make a difference then.

I wait till the wear is 50% on the highest wear tire, then rotate. That way i only rotate once per set of tires. There is literally zero reason to rotate any more often than that.

You rotate to get even wear on all 4 tires. I'll stick to my method of rotation and enjoy my tires for a lot longer.

Rotate tires every 5K, you can do longer or shorter intervals but I feel 5K is the sweet spot and of course, being consistent with the interval as well.

Tell me how that works, exactly. Like, exactly how.

Yea rotating tires on the evo does seem to be a bit pointless.. Ive tried both way rotating them a lot and then just only once and either way i havent noticed any dramatic improvement in tire life. It really just depends a lot on your alignment and of course how you drive.

You rotate the tires for even distribution. The weight of the motor and front passengers puts more stress on the front tires and wears out the tread quicker than the rear, for that reason you rotate.

When you rotate, it's an x pattern. Back left goes to front right and vice versa. Back right goes to front left and vice versa.

If you have non directional tires x pattern works, if you have directional tires it goes fronts to back correct?
