no beep

so i get out of my car this morning to go into work and hit the lock button on my remote and the horn doesn't beep. i then turn around thinking the doors did not lock and try to open them but they are locked. i unlock the doors and lock them back with the remote and they lock but still no beep. anybody know what would cause the horn to stop beeping when i lock the doors?

thanks

i had a similar thing happen to my STi but with the STi its not the horn that beeps...its an alarm and my alarm 'horn' shorted out and needed to be replaced....

just test your horn if it doesn't beep then replace the speaker if it does beep, pull out your manuel and see how to rengage the beep

It's in the owner's manual...trust me. Wish I had a scanner, I'd post it up for you...grrrrrr, darn my small tech budget.

EDIT: It's on page 3-7 of my 2005 manual...also in the "Quick Reference Guide" leaflet that is in the owner's manual packet...there is a lot to copy or I would type it out...I don't type so fast...HTH!
