Evo Starting to have problems HELP!
Hello I have a 2003 Evo with 22000K miles and I'm noticing a lot of shakes and wierd sound, just wondering if you guys can help me out, here's a list.
*Clunking noise driver side wheel well on right hand turn or if drive over bumps.
*Steering wheel shakes wildly when breaking from 70MPH and above.
*Steering wheel shakes when driving above 70 MPH then after 10 mins or so it
goes away.
Symptoms are present for the first 20 mins of the ride, after the car's been driven for a while I dont notice any of the above problems. Thanks in advance.

Well U Could Need Somthing As Simple As An Alignment Or Somthing As Severe As A New Strut And Bushings It Could Also Be That Your Wheels Are No Longer Balanced Properly I Would Check The Balancing And Alignment First And Then Do A More Through Inspection Of The Front Drivetrain.....................wat Kind Of Modifications Do U Have On The Car?

I would recommend taking it to a shop that you can trust and have them go for a in car ride along. You could also remove one of your front tires and check to see if its wearing unevenly. Do you still have the factory tires on the vehicle?
Warped rotors , Bad tires "uneven" , tie rod ends "not likely".

I have no modification on my car, and I also have been maintaining the car properly so i don't think its because of neglect. New tires was put on around 15K miles balanced and 4 wheel alignment was performed. I rotated the tires at around 19K miles and I have all documentation to prove it. I already have an appointment with the dealership but I wanted other people's oppinions to well equip my self if I have the argue with the dealership. My warranty will expire in June this year.

The clunking maybe be dirt and rocks getting into the spring and binding, thats why it only happens on right turns. I only have 4000miles on my IX and it was doing the same and the mechanic at the dealer knew exactly what the problem was and cleaned out the struts. He says the Outlanders have serious problems with getting rocks in the springs and making horrible clunking/grinding noises...

Sorry for the misundestanding on the mileage. I haven't changed the the pads or resurface the rotors. From what I see I'm barely wearing them, I rarely have to break hard on my everyday driving.
