why not trade in on a new one and have a new evo without being repainted and spend the same amount of money

I recently called a couple of places here in Fresno. A high quality paint job will set you back $4K or more. And, they would need your car for 3-4 weeks. I'd trade yours in for a WW rather than get it repainted.

I would not change the color on that car. I would trade it for the one you want. I do paint cars on the side and from my experience when you change the color or a car it devalues the car. So don't change it, just get a new one or live with it.

I'm surprised they didn't quote you a hifgher price than that. When you change the color of a car, you gotta paint all the door jams, under the trunk etc. I wouldn't do it unless you were to paint it a color the EVO's did not come in. Like green.

For 4k they dont paint your engine bay. It might be cheaper to pull the engine and drive train yourself than pay them to pull it out and paint the engine bay. IMO not worth spending almost 5k to change a cars color.

Jambs suck to paint and take a long time to paint and let dry enough to mask on when you shoot the outside. I see so many wrb STI's around here its like maggots on poop. I thought about painting mine GG. That would be like putting a chevy engine in a ford, but I dont care.

IMO, I think GG is the best color for evo. Keep it as is and trade it with WW, and let others enjoy the GG evo.
