MBC is the way to go; Look into Hallman MBC
All the advice on manual boost controllers is right on target. One of the MBCs worth a look is the Hallman remote boost controller. It has a remote adjustment knob that mounts in the car to allow tuning. When tuning/data logging, you can easily adjust the boost with the hallman just by turning a knob. Other MBCs require you to adjust from the engine compartment which is fine because once set, you generally don't need to make adjustments. There is a version specific for EVO that has a shorter cable but it actually limited my install options by being a little too short for some locations. I ended up mounting the knob and bracket near the OBD port on the side of the lower console. It's out of the way but accessible.

I've been using a Hallman MBC since I've come to the realization that it holds just as good as an EBC, and i really will never adjust it much. Once your dialed in at 21-22 psi, your probably not gonna want to turn it down for any reason. I first thought "hey i'll tune it good on higher boost and then turn it down for daily driving" - that didn't happen. Boost is addicting. lol.
