paint stock brembos and keep sticker?

paint stock brembos and keep sticker?

i want to paint my stock red brembos cuz they are fading and are turning pink, how do i keep the white brembo sticker and not paint over that?

From what i have heard is you gotta sand them down and paint or powder coat them. Then order a brembo sticker for them and put it back on. Then if you want you can clear over the sticker too.

If it's just the clear coat peeling off which is almost always is then you can just use brake parts cleaner on the caliper, let it soak on there, the clear coat will bubble up, spray it down with high pressure water to wash the clear coat off (you may have to use a tiny flat head screw driver on some parts of the crevices to get the old clear coat off) but the brake parts cleaner will bubble up most of it. Then I went with 1200 grit wet sand paper and wet sand very very gently and even more gently over the stickers, then respray with high temp clear coat and they look good as new. Let me see if I can find pictures....

ok thanks, i havent cleaned them yet, ill try that, they just are fading pretty bad and look pink
