But is there a reason why even the panel surrounding the shifter would have been replaced too in the event of a transmission swap? I'm not sure, but I would think that it wouldn't be required.

Shifters sit in different places. Shifter, cables, and console all get swapped out.

You don't have to swap the console out. I was one of the first 5spd swappers and I used my MR console with some slight dremel action on the inside.

This is awesome information, the shifter console is what threw me at first. Thanks for the tips.

Found this last night, it's too heavily modified for my tastes I think, but curious to know if anyone is familiar with the car and what their opinion is on the asking price.

Hope that I'm not being annoying, but I found a GSR in LA that looks clean. Wondering if this car belongs to anyone here.

Asking price feels a little too high for a standard model, thoughts?

From the information given it looks decent. I would inquire if the 60k service has been done. At that price I would hope so. Personally if it came back with a clear PPI I would probably be willing to pay 23-25k depending on condition of the paint, interior etc.

Looks clean & w/low miles but Oh, that price!! Wonder if he's had the 60K maintenance done
Ive seen the rise in EvO prices, but he's a bit out of the ball park IMO (firm, firm)

I agree with the other posts. Looks decent, but WAY too high. That's someone who doesn't wanna sell, but will for the right price.

Thanks guys, that confirms my suspicions. I'll check on the 60k service.

Ah, that was really fast. Guess someone was willing to pay asking price.
