Looking at that G4 sedan, that's not the Lancer, that is another model but the name escapes me sorry.
The drawing that GT Channel put out a while back of the next Lancer via Best Car via Mitsubishi, is the most accurate and is spot on with the prototype image I posted above, and with what I have seen elsewhere.
Interestingly none of them look anything like the current Lancer (thank God) which is currently ONLY made in a wagon (remember the Evo X is actually a Galant).
Ready for it?.......

Because Automotive journalists tend to get their info at the pub, from video games, or by rolling a dice. It has always been that way.
No such announcements were ever made in Japan that myself or anyone I have spoken to are aware of
Turbo diesel was definitely considered and worked on, but abandoned early on.

And Mirage G4 is Attrage.
On the flip side, I am trying to get Outlander MY16 figures and changes, no luck so far sadly, digging for any info I can. Atleast It won't look hideous as current model.
On the off topic side, Was in Greece 2 days ago, in a storehouse in Thessaloniki, ammount of amazing metal from Japan that can't or won't ever find a buyer on this side of the planet, made me cry. RB26DETT and RB25DET side by side 4G93T, 6G74 MIVEC and one Jay-Z, no Beyonce , big shame they stopped making those amazing machines.

With Ford stopping the production of cars, the Focus RS being competition with the Evo, why would Mitsubishi need to satisfy any of us with a newer version that is a non-SUV? The only other competition is the WRX line. If they are trying to make money they will just follow the hybrid/SUV trend like the rest of the automakers. It stinks, but that's where the future is headed. Plus with prices in the $30-40K range, people are easier swayed to buy non-Mitsubishi cars.
