View here the closest thing to a legitimate Evolution successor
I just downloaded the GT6 1.08 update expecting to get the VW concept but was pleasantly surprised to get the Mitsubishi vision concept labelled the XR-PHEV Concept.
A far cry from the current evo and maybe not fair to be called an evo successor but it sure is relieving to see Mitsubishi sharing something that hasn't been designed by an accountant.
Do I like it? Yes, yes I do.
Can I see myself buying one? Nope.
Do I think it will see production? Nah.

I'm interested to see what kind of sound it makes.. In the video its just alot of music.
I do like the look though. It doesn't really look like an Evo, whatever that means, but it looks very aggressive. I wonder if it would be only a coupe or if it would end up being a 4-door.

EVO XI update
Raising the dead, just found these recent renderings.
This is closer to what the Evo XI will look like, the design cues are there and if you cross reference from the Concept XR PHEV on Grand Turismo, such as the wheel arch shape and front bumper lines, this is a step closer to the production model.

That's a step closer to proving that an STI and a euro Civic SI had a baby. It's also trying too hard and all for what, to still be 300 hp. Nowadays 300hp is where base cars are starting and still getting 30mpg.
The new STI looks like an Evo and the Evo would look like an STI. Pass.

I'm with FACT0RY PIL0T on this one, I see the Mirage R5 as the next platform as the evo, it wouldn't be new since the Lancer shared the Mirage name in the late 90s early 00s

So why not keep the Evo alive for another 8 generation by upgrading the Evo X's interior and exterior with new widgets? Mitsubishi, we know you can do it!
