Question tuning for C16 race fuel
I have a dyno tuned 93 octane map.
When I run 100 octane I pull 4% fuel, zero whatever timing I had pulled from my upper RPM range (normally 4 degrees), and run my boost to spike at 25 then fade to 22 at redline.
I would like to switch from 100 octane to 116 octane C16 race fuel.
On average, how much more aggressive can I be with the additional octane?

wow when you find this out lemme know i wanna run it too....hope you have a high end setup on your engine, cus anything over 110 will fry a catalitic conv..... and possibly your o2 sensors.....

I believe the hot ticket for race gas is VP109. Its oxygenated and tends to pack a nice solid punch over 103 streetblaze. Sure after 100 or so gallons your O2 sensor might take a digger but they aren't that expensive. I have been pulling 6% fuel across the board with the 109. AFR's are mid 12s and no timing is being pulled. I tried C16 but didn't see any gains over 109. I feel that may be too much octane unless you can run crazy high boost which I cannot seem to do on the stock turbo. I see a spike of 25 and the it fades to 21/22 depending upon gear.
If you are worried about power.....the cat should be the first thing to go!
