Let's start out by going over the basics: The Intake and Exhaust.

There are 3 intake options for the Evo 8/9. The Premium Suction, Super Power Flow Reloaded, and the Racing Suction Reloaded. Based on if you are building your vehicle for the track, or even if you are just daily driving around town, HKS has the intake solution for you! Below we have listed out the name and features for each!


HKS Super Hybrid- Panel Filter Type for Stock Airbox
Details of Filter
•3 layered filter divides, collects intake air and smoothes air flow. It enables quick response that is required for sport filter.
•Newly developed Non-woven fabric is the first layer that collects large dust. Second layer polyurethane filter collects small dust. Thus the new filter has longer life.
•Joining of each layer was changed from flame lamination to net type joining that does not affect intake air flow. Dry 3 layer structure enables lower resistance.

Details of Frame
•With high strength double frame, strong frame can be used for high horsepower.
•Shape of re-designed top frame enables smooth air flow.
•Separate shield frame is cushion type that does not require rubber gasket and easily disposable after use.


HKS Super Power Flow Reloaded- Replaces Stock Airbox
Features
•The engine response is improved in all speed range, and acceleration goes smoothly from low to mid speed range.
•The outstanding intake sound accentuates the impression of a sporty engine.
•Installing this product does not affect the factory feedback control so ECU resetting is not required.
(Some vehicles may require resetting.)


HKS Racing Suction Reloaded Kit- Replaces Complete Stock Intake & Box
Features
•The engine output was improved in all speed range. Better engine response around the target boost pressure and smooth acceleration at the low to mid speed range can be experienced.
•The unique intake sound, which cannot be expected from the stock, accentuates its sportiness.
•Installing this product does not effect on the stock feedback; therefore, ECU resetting is not required in order to use this product.
(Some vehicles may require resetting.)


We will now touch on the types of Exhaust systems available for the Evo 8/9, along with some of their key characteristics! There are 6 exhaust systems available for the Evo 8/9. Below we have listed out the names and features of each!

HKS Exhaust Components

HKS GT Extention Kit- O2 Housing and Downpipe
•As stock turbine is small, it has good response at low rpm. At high rpm, due to exhaust resistance, feeling will be worse. By improved exhaust efficiency, boost pressure will increase earlier at low rpm and power & torque will be increased for whole rpm range up to high rpm.
•CAD designed complicated but ideal shape is manufactured with lost wax casting. Since lost wax casting items do not have welding portion, there is no problem of cracking by heat and the smooth surface guides exhaust gas flow smoothly.
•The turbine outlet is 2 ports independent shape for swing valve side and turbine impeller side to reduce resistance due to interference of gas.
•For street use, connection of extension and Front Pipe is flexible joint type like stock system to reduce vibration and to improve durability.
Even lower side exhaust part is hit, it prevents damage to the engine or turbine.
•Downpipe diameter is 65mm (2.55"). The downpipe is also available separately from the GT Extention Kit.

Hi, Do you have an install guide for the Super Power Flow Reloaded? I bought one, but rather predictably all the instructions are in Japanese.
