Head porting

Do you offer head porting on your rebuilds.

Also, what are cam and spring specs. Not all 272's are the same.

Other than that, your builds look very inclusive, and well described.

I was told by Jack, they dont go serious on porting. They cleanup the head, 3 angle valve job and lightly port. Also at least in their engine build price, it does not include valvetrain. Up to you what you want to run.

You're right about not all 272s are the same. I highly suggest GSC S2 or R2s, with their beehive springs and retainers. Though depends on what your goals are. For high hp applications, definitely S3s!

Thanks all!

Head porting isn't really something we like to do here in-house. What we can do is tear the head completely down, clean it up, ship it to who you want to perform the port work, and then put it together once we get it back.

We have had it done that way a few times without issue.

Head porting refers to the process of modifying the intake and exhaust ports of an internal combustion engine to improve the quality and quantity of the air flow. Cylinder heads, as manufactured, are usually suboptimal due to design and manufacturing constraints. Porting the heads provides the finely detailed attention required to bring the engine to the highest level of efficiency.
