Question Should I turbo my GTS CVT?

I have a 2010 Lancer GTS CVT, I've owned it for 2 years and I've taken really good care of it but I really want to add a lot more horsepower. I know there are things about it that would not handle a turbo like the tranny and suspension but I want to add a few things to the car. This is my first car so I want to spend some money and work on it before I get a new car.

First I want to change out the catback to a Megaflow catback:

Second I would fix up the suspension to TEIN coilovers and add a suspension bar package:

Third I wanted to get some performance brake pads and rotors

fourth I wanted to change the crank pully and add a timing controller

At this point into the build would it be worth it to add a turbo kit into the build? If I added a turbo into the car do you think I would need to change out the clutch?

Is it possible to change out the clutch of a CTV to this?

Also is there any other builds out there with a similar car with a turbo that you know? Do they break down?

I remember my first car.. i wanted to put a 383 into a beat up RX300. It was a silly idea, literally throwing money away. So too is putting a turbo on a pleb lancer. Its not worth the money and trouble it inherently goes along with.

RREs turbo lancer that was whored out all over youtube is an abomination.

Im not saying don't mod your car at all, but $5,000 for a turbo kit on a weak motor, with a weak trans, and wrong wheel drive is really silly investment compared to the hundreds of other platforms you could choose from that cost half what a used lancer even retails for.

Save a turbo kit for a more solid and proven platform. The lancer isn't one of them.
