Stupid Sub Box
I have a self built bandpass box in my trunk and i constantly have problems with it sliding around in my trunk. well the trunk mat slides around, not the box itself. how can i circumvent this? (without have custom fiberglass enclosures built, as so many reccomend)
Thanks

Easy.. go to home depot or something and buy the little 1 inch"L" brackets that are pre drilled with holes in them. Screw one side to the the sub box, and the other side to the floor. All you should need is one at each corner, or maybe two if you drive a little crazy sometimes.. lol.

^--look kinda like that, but with holes in them, and they are flat and made of stainless steel or something.

yea, depending on how heavy your box it you could just use velcroe on the underside of the box. But the best option would be the put the L brackets on.

yup the bandpass box i have is prob like at least 60lbs or more. I have two of those L brackets from home depot with 4 1/2 in screws holding them down. Box sits nicely and doesn't move even at quick turns and acceleration.

Glue the trunk carpet to the cardboard(or whatever paper matieal it is) cover in the trunk then put some velcro on th bottom of the box. 1 2inch wide strip on either side of the bottom going all the way across it should hold it in place. Mine weighs a good 60~70lbs and it hasn't moved.
If you have a rear strut bar, I'd say just attatch it to that though.
