Yeah. 300 hp, either to the wheels or even to the crank is gonna be very hard to reach. Fastest Lancer so far hit ~270 whp and that's fully built.

And since you're "new with the whole car thing" I'd suggest doing a lot of reading on the forums to get a better idea of what can be done, what has been done, what shouldn't be done, etc. Otherwise you're gonna wind up with blown engine long before you hit that 300 hp figure.

thanx guys for the input... ive beeen doing lots of reading and getting 300+hp is impossible... however my question is, which is more effective a super SDS or a turbocharger... while adding on to the stock engine for more hp... i have a 5 speed and want to know which is better for quick acceleration maintaining fast speed... while also being fuel efficient

and does any one know if the 2004 EVO wing fits on the 2004 es lancers??

The Evo wing fits the ES just fine. Check out my registry.

As for the turbo vs. super debate, there's really good threads on that already.

lol 300 hp from a lancer? by the time you rebuild enough stuff on the car to handle that much power (reliably).... could have afforded a fast car to begin with

he has an 04 lancer, but it should still fit bc i think the RAs and the ESs have the same trunk and many RAs have them on.

ya 300hp will be very hard to attain... i think with a RRM stage 2 turbo with T.B and other little mods you could get 250hp.. id get a piston and rod upgrade so you can boost stage 2 a little bit higher.. i see 270 hp at the crank as the most you can do thats cost effective. you will get evo speed..but not the traction so ur 1/4 will be high 13's mid 13;s at your best.

all of thta will cost you around 9,000 dollars.
