4g64 and 4g69?

Will the trans from the 4g69 bolt onto a 4g64? I did some searching and couldn't find an answer so I guess this must be ridiculous or isn't even possible?

well i was thinking since people are doing the 4g64 swap in our lancers it seems like we could use the 4g69 transmission and not have to swap gears into another bell housing and worry about axles or wiring harness and what not... I know it can fit perfect in the lancers and probly has the same wiring as the 4g94 transmission since they are almost the same. just different bell housing and 4th/5th gears. the axles should work too they are thicker and fit the same hub splines.

yeah but thats if you want to use the lancer oz axles and gears and the F5M42 Tranny.... if the ralliart trans bolted up you wouldn't have to deal with the swapping the transmission internals and you could have stronger axles.

The 4G94, 4G64, 4G69 all have the F5M42 transmission. Each has one that is slightly different internally and they all have different bellhousings. The differential is different in the 4G64 transmission. The 4G69 also uses an intermediate shaft for the axles that is secured to the rear of the block. The 4G64 and 4G94 do not use an intermediate shaft with the axles.
